BROOKLYN, NEW YORK
The main objective in this renovation was to maximize storage in the 45 square foot kitchen, and provide a greater sense of openness with cross-views to the living room. A key to finding storage solutions was understanding how the clients used their existing space: their lifestyle patterns, breakfast rituals, what they cooked, etc . We wanted the renovation to adapt to their routines, while also streamlining their day-to-day through purposeful design and space planning.
Using custom white oak cabinetry tailored to each corner, we were able to provide a large coat closet, concealed refrigeration, a utility closet, peg-board storage, a shallow pantry, and a place to hide luggage.
